Hehe
And he keeps up with Lambo untill 130mph
If he had aftermarket intercooler and better tune he might have been right there with him
BTW, Porsche had very good run (no misshift or anything), just slow

well thats impressive and all... but honestly i'd be more concerned with low end than high end. I dont do a lot of driving on air strips or 150 mph

Low end is where it really shines
It has small turbos, so when tuned most of the power is in low-mid range
It's a monster from 0-120
This is why it kept up with lambo until 130 and then it pulled away
You get nearly 3.5 - 3.7 sec 0-60 with this setup
It pretty much destroys anything on the road under 100mph

I'm watching this without sound at the moment and it seems like the guy is getting huge jumps on people at the start. Not to mention they have to turn and he doesn't. Not totally calling BS b/c I know the 335s don't mess around and are crazy fast. That GT3 race just seems shameful...

It's huge airfield in switzerland
These guys gather together once in a while and run each other
They record HD videos and take professional photos on these events
It's known event in BMW community and they have their own website
Anyways, if the run between two drivers werent "approved" between each driver, they re-run until all is perfect (no jump start, no mis-shifts, etc)
As you see, they eliminate traction issues as well, by doing it from 2nd-gear roll
335i is a turbo car and at that point (30mph) it's in full boost and have over 400lb of TQ when they hammer the gas
This car is just a monster anywhere between 0 and 120 mph
It'll take M5s, porsches, and bunch of other cars within these speeds
Some of them will catch 335i after 120mph, some will just hang on the tail
Tuned 335i's 0-60 is 3.5sec, btw
P.S. they both turn, but slightly different radius, since it's wide 2-lane entrance to runway

Here is the dyno of the car with race map
Mods on the car:
BMS Tune (JB3 or JuiceBox)
BMS intake and UR downpipes, on 100 octane
If you add FMIC and exhaust, it will keep power all way to the rev limiter

Much more interested in a 93 octane dyno. 100 octane maps make great power, but they're unrealistic for real world practical use.

Yeah...even a Mazda 3 can get more, 497 RWHP [edit: I meant Front wheel HP
]
http://videos.streetfire.net/vidiac.swf?video=32f6c4bb-2753-4152-a103-98c400838b38
with 100 Octane and pistons.
And 18psi? Wow, that's a lot no? Those are the only mods? No pistons, etc? I would worry about reliability issues. No aftermarket cooling solutions? How about the heating issues? I can't forget the test against the G37...
I'm sure that with 93 and like 12psi it's still going to be impressive nonetheless.

This was to show what just tune with small mods could do with 100 Oct
18psi is a bit too much IMO
When you run on 93, you get about 370-380WHP and WTQ with the same setup
It runs around 14-15psi peak
Reliability should not be affected unless you pedal-to-the-metal every single second
Under normal driving (not in boost) with 2K RPM or so, engine is running more efficiently and it yelds better MPG.
Also most people noticed oil temp drop with tunes
For someone like me, who doesnt like to mod a lot it's very good option
You simply bring your car to rougly 450HP and use this power when you need it
BTW, these tunes come with map switch, like for good MPG, for race gas, for extra TQ, etc
You can program your garage openner buttons to switch between them
So, the idea is to bring this car to next level of enjoyment without making it a ricer
