FX35 off road
« on: June 05, 2008, 05:26:01 PM »

I have to post these youtube vids...I think they are by far some of my favorite videos because I laughed histerically the first time I saw them.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/MujmVfFNv-s&amp;ap=%2526fmt%3D18&amp;rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/MujmVfFNv-s&amp;ap=%2526fmt%3D18&amp;rel=0</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/3Ekq58Hhh1c&amp;ap=%2526fmt%3D18&amp;rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/3Ekq58Hhh1c&amp;ap=%2526fmt%3D18&amp;rel=0</a>

edit: fixed it for you.  on this forum just the html address will suffice.  you don't have to "embed" the vid.

I don't understand what exactly they're doing... but it looks like fun.... that is if its not their car.

And Oz told me the FX wasn't an SUV... come on!

Those have been around for a long time.  I think I saw them a year or so ago.  Never buy an ex rental car.

The guy says they won big in Las Vegas. They bought the vehicles brand new and went to the desert to trash them. I think its too funny. The one where the FX went airborn...yeah well he busted the core support for sure! Thats why he kept slamming the hood and couldn't get it to shut. I bet the struts got pushed upwards too. LOL...yeah its old but I had to post it for those who haven't see it.

Oh I got another good one too...

Sorry for a rant but...
As an avid off-road enthusiast _____  like this really pisses me off.  Its people (being kind here) like this that give off roading a bad name and are getting parks closed down.  The number one rule of off road etiquette is to stay on the trail.  If you don't think you know what your doing, then chances are you don't and shouldn't be there.  If your into this sort of thing then please get in touch with an off road group and learn the ropes.  Going off trail like that will do nothing but tear up all of the surrounding areas and cause extreme erosion in the next rainy season.  Having a cross-over type vehicle will cause a few laughs in the off-road community but there are tons of really nice people in the 4x4 community that would love to have you.  Plus, there is nothing better proving someone wrong at their own game. ^excellent points... the internet is a great place to find off-roading communities too.  I used to find out about off-road site in the late ninety's by word of mouth.  Now I'm out of that game, but it was fun... if you knew what you were doing, and didn't go crazy like the guys in the vid!

I agree completely... But there was (quite apparently) no good judgement of any kind when this video was made... Between the damage of the vehicles, and being in places they shouldnt.. It's bad altogether. I am assuming your commentary was directed at the video and not anyone here? Smiley

NO I agree with you here turbo...I have been an avid off roading chick since I had my Land Rover Discovery as my first vehicle. The dealership I bought it from allows their new owners to take their Land Rovers off road and experience the capabilites. I took first place in autoX off road and second in the time trial (with obstacles). I started on a four wheeler when I was 12-ish and learned how to off road properly and respectfully. I just thought it would be something funny to see for those Infiniti owners who haven't seen this video.

I totally respect the outdoors and DO NOT condone anything in this video.

TREAD LIGHTLY!

I'm sorry, but damage to the environment was the last thing I saw reprehensible in that video Smiley.  The erosion caused by the FX35 doing donuts or whatever...really man, is that going to be cause of a concern?  I myself believe that the environment is stronger than ever was.

Greenies, politicians will close parks no matter what we do.  We just have to support different politicians, that's all.

As for the video, they were just stupid kids having fun.  I felt sorry for the cars, not for the environment!  Grin

Chicklet, thanks for the videos, I had a good laugh!
