I just seen where the TownCar has the button for the front passenger seat.  The Lexus
has had it since 2001.  And not many TownCars have this, like the LS 430's do.  The TownCar
is a decent, reliable vehicle also.  They are just overpriced for what most of them have and
the resale.  Ive driven a lot of them new and used, they are quiet and ride smooth on freeway's
and good roads.  On roads with dips, especially when driving fast, they don't exactly give the
driver a feeling of being safe and wanting to hold the road.    Cheesy

I do think they make a special-order version of the towncar for chauffer use.... otherwise, it wouldn't reallly be practical to stock vehicles with the above equipment on normal lots. Smiley

The lexus is in a much higher base price range so I think its expected. The towncar comes in a lot of variaants, from what I've seen. Eg: consumer, taxi/chauffeur, rental... all have mildly different features ffrom what I've seen. The lexus is much less likely to be sold for rental or taxi use, so I don't think they have to offer the same set of options (eg, a stripped down cheaper consumer version like the bse towncar) That being said, I do not know if the current and oolder LS has the 'chauffeur' type options as base. I don't think they do. The ls430 we have owes half its features to the near $20k option package (original msrp). I think its called the ultra luxury package; it added all the rear center console stuff, auto closing doors, air suspension, reclining rear seats and power headrests, etc... (sorry, typing from my phone). I hope this made some sense toward my case. Smiley

yeah its like how a porsche starts at 100k and then when you put everything you want on it it costs 139k!   Undecided  On the other hand its fun to look at cars' window stickers and configure them online racking up major dollars for options and then get the car at a base price with an offer of $11k off MSRP or $500 below invoice.

Different strokes for different folks.  I don't think Lexus minds the fact that you can buy a new ES extremely cheap on the same lot you can buy a LS for over 100k.   Seems odd to me though.

I was talking about the Lexus LS430 having the buttons on the passenger seat.
And why it would of not of been practical for the Lincoln to have the same for
every Town Car seeing how they cost around $50,000 or so.   Cheesy
