It's oh-so-tempting. Family member of mine has an Armada and even the stock configuration is surprising. The thing is QUICK. The biggest area it's lacking is in braking, though - which of course could be resolved with a stupidly overpriced BBK! Smiley

I've since found out that performance parts for trucks are so much less expensive than the ones for cars!  Do some research on the brakes, I bet you'd be surprised!

Nice SUV man.  How many miles does it have now?  Ever take it off road yet?   Cool

Thanks.  It has about 4500 miles, no off road yet.

I'm very happy with this car, can't wait to start doing something with it.

I have some ideas, I like mods like these:

http://finishlinewest.smugmug.com/photos/368697653_aMsJg-L.jpg

3"lift, 33" tires, bull bar, rack, etc.  I just wish I could get it higher and lower easily, like with bags -- but there's no kit for the Platinum yet (different from all Sequoia, cos'it has bags, but with limited travel, and just for the rear).  But I'm not sure which direction I'd go yet.

I like the wheels and front, but I really don't like the rack and lights on top.

Looks nice stock anyway.  I'm sure it sits high stock anyway.   Grin

BTW, are those headlight washers under the headlights?

Yeah, I like the wheels too, but I like the rack.  I just think the lights are too big -- I think smaller would work best.  I don't like much the bull bar though, but at least it's not chrome.  I think I can't have any bullbars with mine, because of the laser cruise control on the Platinum.

I don't need any more ground clearance, but I'd like to be able to drop it a lot, like 5".  And go back up again to stock when needed.

Yes, those are headlight washers.

I have a hard time finding a 22" wheel that I like for the truck (stock ones are 20").  Most of them are too bling for my tastes, or too heavy.  The forged ones are so bland (for instance, the TRD ones).

TRD:

Blah.

The ones picture in my post above:

They have this "concave" theme going on that I like it.  But I don't like the fake bolts.

It's lighter than most though.  The ones at tire rack, for instance, start up at 46lb!!

Too much, even for a Sequoia.

I'm not into the fake bolts on those wheels, but they look nice.    Cheesy

Halo kits, HID kits:

Liked the halos, not so sure about the leds without the proper housing.  There kits for that too.

So I have recently done the Nav Hack/Rear Seat Entertainment hack for the Sequoia.  I also added a switch to turn on the rear camera even while driving, can be useful while towing, but can have other uses too.

I spend about $15.00 total, including one $8.00 DPDT relay.  I've seen kits in the market for hacking the Lexus/Toyota NAV for more than $300.00 bucks, that's crazy!

In the Infiniti the NAV Hack is very simple, you just use a SPST switch and cut the VSS (speed pulse) signal wire from under the passenger seat in the FX.  On the Toyota however, the NAV is much more annoying, if you cut the speed signal, the NAV will detect movement from the GPS antenna.  So you have to cut that one too.  You can also ground the parking brake to activate the RSES, and if you give 12V to the Reverse signal that goes into the NAV computer, you also activate the rear camera.

Very happy with the mod so far!
