Not the kind of boots I like to wear
« on: August 04, 2010, 09:57:12 PM »

So, life has been pretty hectic (hence my lack of posting)... part of my excitement was walking up to my car after a 12+ hr day at work and finding this:

... Sigh

If you look at the bottom left side of the wheel you'll see they had the "courtesy" to stick a piece of PAPER in between the STEEL boot and the ALUMINUM rim. Needless to say, Steel + Aluminium crushes paper, of course damaging the finish on the (< 1 month old, replaced) rims....

I was actually thinking "if I had the IS-F on cups, and slammed, what would they do(for a boot)" if the car is sitting on the ground?

Oh, well lucky you.  I've only been booted once, but I've been towed twice.

All of this was in college with a lumina and an old accord, so no damage to speak of... just some hefty fines to retrieve my property

That sucks Oz.  So what were you doing?  Parked in a fire lane, handicapped parking spot, or parked on the sidewalk?

LOL

But yeah, that sucks.  They should put some rags there, not paper.
