Btw. This car was an upgrade from the white Mercury Marquis they wanted to give me. I told them I wasn't going to drive a cop car to Vegas and they understood.

Thanks for the review. You actually liked the interior then? Oz and others rate them poorly I think, but I have yet to see it myself. The worst bit is the transmission, this really can ruin the whole experience.

I think my interior assessment is skewed since I'm coming from an 05 FX. Just about anything is a step up. One thing to note is that I didn't find any of the usual defects that show up in rental car interiors. I find that any flaws in interior design will show up pretty quickly if the vehicle is used as a rental. I can't, however, remember the mileage on the vehicle so it might have been very low.

Knockin' the FX. Ouch! The plastics in the FX were cheap feeling, but I really do feel the rest of the car felt great.. I still miss mine 1st gen
