it is fairly small, however, not as small as I had originally thought.  The rear is able to handle a bunch of stuff.  But over all still smaller than the R's cargo...

thanks... I like the white... for some reason the 2006 merc alabaster white looked a tad more yellowish, this alabaster white is white, which i like.

So whats the mod list???

I'm thinking de-badge and coilovers...?  Someone make a chip for this thing yet?  I'd bet it would make a big difference in drivability and maybe even milage.  Wait, you referenced the R class... you weren't thinking of buying a bug looking mini-van were you??  I have cousins that had a diesel R for about 9 months before canning it for a Sequoia.  Not totally sure on the reason why but I think they had problems with it being an early model.  They also just had their third child so who knows...?  Whats your milage like?

no mods on this car... not for me.  The Turbo is actually reallly responsive, I have only driven this twice so far, so not sure if I can feel the turbo lag yet, if any.  Miles, not sure about now, but was at 28mpgs before compared to 13 on the R.

not looking at the R, just turned one back in, but have to say I really liked that car.  Was not too keen on looks before but it was a nice drive, no major problems at all (I was surprised), it was a saks version so full on alcantera suede seats, thick steering wheel, 19 spoke wheels, large brakes, air suspension... it really was a sweet touring vehicle.

but the ML will remain stockie....  Grin

a friend of mine at work has an R and she loves that thing.  I still say its a "van" though, she claims otherwise.

I really like the R, too bad they don't have R500 anymore, only 350 and the diesels.  If they had a van in the market with a V8, perhaps I wouldn't have the Sequoia.  I do think most Vans are underpowered, not that they should be sportcars, of course, just a little more spice.  The R500 had it, I was too late to the party, I guess.
