So as you know, if you've read the
07G35S Quest Thread, you know that my original tire plans fell through for tomorrow, so I thought I'd do some more in depth exploration into tire choices, and I've narrowed it down to a few tires I can assuredly get within the next few days.
So what I'm looking for here is any personal experience you have with the tires listed (good or bad) to help assist in making the decision. So here they are, in no particular order:
Sumitomo HTR Z III @ 778 shipped
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's @ 800 shipped
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport ~ 205 per before tax/fees from local tire shop.
Other choices out there in the same price range:
Yokohama S.drive @ 700 shipped
Kuhmo Ecsta SPT ~ 725 shipped
A few of the Z guys are running the Sumitomo's and have nothing but good things to say. Sean is running Vredestein and really likes them. No long term data on treadwear available as they are both relatively new to the scene. Personally, I like the idea of new and cutting edge... but I also like the comfort of knowing I'm using a tried and tested product with results to reflect upon.
Thoughts? Concerns? Suggestions?
