Meh wet performance, soft sidewalls and average grip.  They DOT-R and DR's are much better, but the street tires suck IMO.  I wouldn't use or advocate them.  Same for Toyo which owns Nitto IIRC.

thanks.... so far okay with me, but I am not married to this brand, just curious as to why a no go for you even if free.

what tires do you run?  and what do you like about them...

he has the tires that I'm buying -  Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas 


I'd link to his review on PFM, but you have to register to see it... so I'll let him provide his input in the Sessanta thread above if he wants.   In brief, his opinion of them was good enough that I feel comfortable in purchasing them

thanks and hell, if you don't mind, what your experience with Nitto was like, what model, size when used, etc so I can get a better understanding of the issues you gots with Nitto...thanks....

I haven't personally owned Nitto.  But I've driven my friend's cars with them.  Nitto 555 is by far one of the worst "performance" tires I've experienced.  I'm not won over by the Invo's either.
