"stick it"

If the dealer can't move $450 around and not bother a customer something is up....

OK I agree.  I'm going to go with a limited "Stick it".  1. I don't care if I do business with this dealer again, they are all the way in San Diego after all.  2. Frankly, it's not my mistake.  You made the mistake and you can suffer for it.  That's what I would do, and have done, when I was Investment Banking.  I say limited because I don't want it to come out of the pocket of the gal that does this.  If it really was an error then I don't want anyone getting canned or anything.  I'll . .. . have a conversation with them and get it out of them.

LOL, ok so I REALLY had the dealer screwed on this one.  The G37 lease, they screwed up the residual by one point and had to eat the 440 difference.  They lowered my purchase price so that the residual and everything matched up to make the same monthly price.  Then they also screwed up the multiple security deposit thing and I owed an extra $450 that I would get back at the end of the lease.  Fortunately, I also got out of them that the lease was unacceptable to Infiniti Financial so even if they were to throw in the extra $450 for me and keep the original paperwork, they would still be screwed.  The old contract wouldn't fly with Infiniti and wasn't acceptable.  So they had NO payment from the bank and the dealer was sitting on a loss of $50k they had on the car and no acceptable lease contract.  Man, I had them over a barrel. OK, so the gal was real nice but then the "sales manager" came on the line and tried to pull car salesman crap on me.  That got me annoyed and I kept telling them, a Contract is a Contract, you sold it, you signed it, consideration was passed, you cashed my check, I took the car.  If you want to rescind, the car is here and you can come pick it up (lol + my 840 miles on it).  "No no sir, but you don't understand you get that money back".  "Oh I understand exactly, and I understand that if I paid you too much it would be hell getting it back and you would be saying the exact same thing to me that I'm saying to you.  Of course, I wouldn't be stuck with a line of credit with the bank that had a $40k hole in it that couldn't be fixed but that's not my problem now is it.  Tell you what, come get the car.  I'll go buy a Lexus".  In the end, to be honest, I felt like the poor gal was going to get in a ton of trouble so I compromised.  They lowered the purchase price by $440 and paid the $450 extra security that was needed and gave me back the $240 they charged me to put on the splash guards.  In return, I sign the new lease.  I just started to feel bad for the sales manager, I was beating him up so badly.  So, they screwed up and I got $1k for my signature on a new lease.  Man, if this ever happened with a $100k+ car, I would've gone to town!

P.S. Oh and THANKS for that Bullet thing.  I ordered it.  Getting tired of hitting that ant and going "Boing oing oing oing"
