OK, I think I'm going with the 360 Forged Split 7 Wheel.  Now how do I figure out if it fits my car?  Call 360 Forged?

email/call Derrick at D2.

the wheels are custom made to fit your car.  360 Forged will probably give you really mild/conservative wheel fitment - I don't blame them but all wheel manf will be conservative.  Derrick as a wheel shop will know the range from mild to aggressive depending on what you want and then let you decide, of course he can recomend as well.

I'm not a fan of wheels with a lip.  Been there, done it.  Not going back. Smiley
I'm right there with ya HD...Been there...done that.

I like concave wheels...yummy!

Trin...let the D2 wheel guys handle all the calculations for you. If they screw up...its on them, not you. I think I have spoke to Derrick at D2. Is he the one that has the white GS? OMG that thing is sexy.

Is there a particular reason why you guys don't like lips now?  If you've been there, what made you change your mind?  Just curious...

I think its just personal preference.  Concave look is IN right now, but you know how these things go... its all about latest-greatest... next year it'll be something different.  Rim manufacturers have to make money!  Remember 10 years ago... lowriders and those 100 spoke 12" rims... those were the days Tongue

Derrick used to have a lex GS, he now has a BMW 745, white, AC kit, very nice for a couple years now...

I still dig the lip and also dig the non-lip monobloc style.   If I had a Porsche GT3, Turbo, etc.  I would prefer the non-lip wheels - mono bloc etc.  The more the car is for speed, sport, I would do more of a wheel that fits.

For the M, lip is good for me, good balance of sport and lux.

the BMW M6 can go either way, but for me...it almost seems like BMWs were made to rock some lipage as a matter of due course.... Grin

but yeah, its all just a style preference, nothing "right" or "wrong"

Yeah, I'm not doing the lip thing.  Little too "blingy" for me.  Concave maybe.  I'm thinking the split 7 or series 5 version of 360 forged.  You guys were right, they are all custom made to fit your car (very cool by the way).  I'm going with polished finish.  I thought about brushed or even carbon fiber but polished is nice and clean without being too shiny like chrome.  I'm going to get them pretty flush to the tire and not that deep inset look that looks like hot wheels to me.  I'll let you guys know.
By the way, as a set aside, you fellas (and you too chick) have really gotten me to enjoy this mod thing.  I've never modded anything about a car before my M45.  It's actually quite fun and I really enjoy knowing mine is the only one that has XXX and XX and blah blah.  It's quite a fun hobby.  It also gives me a chance to actually work on the car and learn how to do things like change out lightbulbs and headlamps and covers and stuff.  The other day a bulb went out on my headlight for my M45.  So, since I was bringing it back soon anyways, I put the stock back in.  and I'm proud to say, by MYSELF!  Sure sure, might not mean squat to you guys but I took some pride in "working on my car".
Now the bad news is, now that the wife's RX400h goes back in 8 days, she is going to drive my beloved M45 sport.  I give her 48 hours before the first scratch and 1 week before the first ding.  My poor car Sad

That's great Trin.  I know how you feel, even with the little things, when you've never done it before, it makes you feel really good to do it! Smiley

Trin, check out their polished finish if possible in the live, sometimes polish is almost like a chrome finish.  i dont' know about 360 though... but like Iforged polish looks just like chrome.

I only mention this as it seems like you don't care for chrome, I don't.  My wheels are brushed and the brush finish of good companies is just amazing.  I also think a brush or a darker gunmetal (Check out DPE wheel finish colors) would look nice against your M6 color.

but thats all subjective.

if you don't like lip also look at the monobloc wheels.

both styles from 360 look nice similar styles are also made by DPE with more wheel style choices, finish choices and even reverse rivets so your wheels look "clean" my old works did not have the rivets around the face and my new wheels have custom rivets (the AutoCouture badge) that don't stick out as well for a "cleaner" look.

just some small little details to throw out...

Always worth considering how easy it'll be to clean and care for the wheels too depending on spoke style, finish and other add-ons and features.

oooh.  nice.  OK I didn't go with DPE because I want a wheel without all the rivets on the outside.  Didn't know you don't have to have them that way and I like that gunmetal finish (matches my Ferrari HEH HEH).  I'll look into them too, thanks law!
