So.. been car-shopping. Found some INSANE (really) deals on the 2010 M. $50K optioned-out M35S'es for $39K... no strings attached.. very tempting..

i'm sure there are some pretty good deals to be had, i've been getting a lot of mailers lately. And I mean good enough deals that I could probably do a no cost trade-up the rebates are so high.

yeah but for me going from 09-10 would probably not be a factor... it would be going from 2010 to 2011 that would take a hit.

That's the thing - the 2010's HAVE to be killer deals since the 2011 is due out any day and the 2010's will be yesterday's news. The values will drop like rocks.
Also, some of the equipment on the 2011's isn't on the 2010's, is it? the 7-spd tranny, for instance, isn't available on the M45, and I imagine the Nav, etc., is upgraded on the 2011.
On top of all that, I'd hate to live for 2-3 years with a car that just got made obsolete styling-wise 2 days after I got it.

Always wondered how a car company handles a new model like that. Do they just discount the heck out of the old model? I thought the new one was supposed to come out on the 16th.

Yeah i'm becoming more and more of a fan of the older design. I liked the new one at first, but the old one is growing back on me. So did you put your springs up? I was thinking of putting up mine...
