I LOVE the LED setup on the M. It's mesmerizing. I really miss that, sadly. I also miss the M in general.. boo!! I see them EVERYWHERE now, though..

I have read this thread with great interest because of my fondness for the M45 that I once owned.  My 2006 M45 was one of my favorite cars.  Its build quality was excellent and mechanically, the M was better than any of my previous Acura, Audi or BMW’ models.  I also found its technical features to be superior. Most of all, I always got a thrill accelerating my M.  It rocketed whenever I floored the pedal.
 
My entire ownership of the M45 was satisfying and pleasurable.  It never required work in a shop because of a failure to perform as expected.  Everything in this car worked and worked well.

The reason that I sold it was because of my penchant in my retirement years to own as many fine automobiles as I can before my age prohibits my ability to drive safely.  The fact that I was offered more for my M by a private party then I paid for it motivated me to move onto a car that also fascinated me, the Lexus SC.

The SC is completely different in ever way from the M45.  Whereas the M was a thrill to drive, the SC is simply sedate and candy to my eyes.  The interior of the M is wholly modern; the SC elegantly traditional and luxurious.  The M roars, the SC purrs.

Nevertheless, whenever I see an M45 on the road, I smile because I know that its occupants are having a ride in a really wonderful automobile.

That's kind of how I feel.  Always a bit bulbous in the rear.  I like a nice ass, but its just a bit too big and droopy.

But I love the front of the M, that always made up for it to me.
