Infiniti FX SVV .... am diggin this
« on: January 03, 2012, 05:35:20 PM »

I am diggin this version

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/10/infiniti-fx-sebastian-vettel-version-approved-for-production-ma/

wonder what price tag would be, but good to seem Infiniti pushing more HP - would love for them to come out with a AMG/M/F/R type option....

this is a nice one, not too keen on the rear spoiler... but other goodies are nice.

Very nice edition.  I think their IPL line should be worked more along the lines of this than what they've offered so far.

Hm..
FX50 as is already over 60K
This version has a very small HP bump and probably will carry huge premium

I hope Infiniti knows what it's doing
The only thing that sells good at the moment is G

agreed that price and what you get may be inhibitors... but damn, I am just glad that Infiniti is trying to work on HP/performance with its cars... Infiniti does not have a performance line like the AMG (Merc), M (BMW), R (Jag), F (Lexus), etc....  while this may not rise to the level of an AMG, M, etc... at least they are moving towards that direction.

Infiniti looked at HP, design, lower stance, carbon fiber, wheels, exhaust, BBK, suede seats, thicker steering wheels, suede and carbon fiber trim, matte white paint - this was never an option on infiniti before but some aspects would be standard on say a Porsche GTS....  I am liking the direction they are heading that they made a one off performance FX and said heck lets make this a production model.  Hopefully, the final product may have more juice but I am glad they are looking to push HP/Performance now.  Heck Lexus has the F and will soon have a GS-F.... Infiniti needs its performance line.

so the M does not do well anymore?  Only the G?  I know the FX gets great reviews, but everyone wants a Cayenne....

wonder why they did not think of tuning up the 56 in the FX or even some hybrid GT-R engine.  That would be nice.... but the specs now would not make it a good comp to your X6M with its HP, etc...  but I like the start.... Grin

I'm kind of shocked that GT-R engine didnt find its way in any other application
You would think such a great powerplant should be re-used in many places, but Infiniti is not up for it?
Is it really that expensive, that it's not worth using anywhere else?

Silly things are still handmade in a Japanese cleanroom, are they not?
