Its a nice process, the problem is you still end up coming home with a BMW. Tongue

One-month wait is the downside
I was so anxious to get my car back
However, you wait for your car if it's custom ordered regardless
And total time from ordering to recieving it is about the same

Driving in Alps and on autobanh is so rewarding though, not to mention proper break in

P.S. I would never buy another european car without ED
I think BMW, Audi and Benz have great ED programs

What is the break-in anyway?  1000 miles of varying low rev operation or different?

Different gears, revs, speeds, no revving above 4K rpm, etc
Avoid constant engine speed for period of time
Avoid traffic jams, so the engine runs cooler, breathes better
So, cruising on the highway or sitting in traffic is big no-no
