Okay, I've got to admit.. I am really feeling this picture:



It's when I see it from the back that scares me.

Cars ALWAYS look better in person for the first time.

I think it's the bulges I like. And I LOVE the rear view. Much better IMO than the huge, gaudy tail lights of the old M.

I don't think I ever said the old one looked like a dog wiping anything, but I did always think the rear end was too bulbous and chubby. This new design helps to minimize that, especially without the tail lights crawling up the trunk onto the back window like the old one.

All in all, I think they've managed to make the M look slimmer and trimmer and I applaud them for doing away with the clownishly oversized tails. IOW, I like it a lot. Now I really want to see it in person!

Yes, the dual ring led tails would be the way to go.

i just went and looked at my car three times to be sure, but i'm not seeing it.  the only thing that looks similar in that picture is the headlamp assembly, and the notch in the back-door window.
