Anyone know anything about http://www.frozenrotors.com/ ?

Considering them if I keep my car... but.. not sure if anyone is familiar with them. I think they have been around for a while.

Never heard of them.  I've heard of heat treating steel but never a cold treatment.  Their site doesn't give much info either except to say they use a "proprietary" process. I wonder if they are common in any other brands.  BMW? Mercedes?

Seem expensive for what they are.  The other question is who is providing the blanks?  They don't manufacture blanks and they explicitly call out the slotted rotors as being manufactured by Powerslot.  If you're dropping $150 for a treated rotor that is based off a $50 generic blank, really not getting your money's worth.  You have to determine if they would last 2-3 times as long as a set of generics to justify the cost.

Its an interesting concept.  I could send them my BBK discs to be treated, be interesting to see if they lasted longer with auto-x / light track events, but would still cost $300 to have all 4 done.  Roll Eyes

Yeah.. my feelings exactly. Its pricey, but if it worked.. it would pay off. I am really trying to minimize the warping issues I have ;(
