I do love the fact that the FX50 can run the 1/4 in 13.7 according to C/D.  The VVEL is making the new engines absolute beasts.

I can't wait to see what the VK50VE does in the M, and I would love love love love to see it in the G.  That would be beastly.

I agree. I really want to hold out for the new M (for the engine) but I am afraid of what Infiniti may be doing to it (the car itself); their styling just keeps on getting worse and worse, I think.. Sad

There are days I still crave a G35 + VK56 swap.  Assuming the headwork was done to really open that beast up.

I actually agree. I would jump on a G(XX) with a v8 in a heartbeat.

hell; will a VK56 fit in a g35 sedan? Wink

It should.  It fits in coupe. Smiley

Performance Factory has been working on doing an engine swap with a VK56 into a 1st gen G35.  Haltech for EMU, supposedly they're just getting the kinks out.

The only thing that would keep me from going that route is the torque curve.  Need custom cams, headers, headwork, intake manifold to really make it more usable for a car and less truck like.  But the engine has great potential.

The VK50VE is even better.  I'd much prefer that in a G37. Smiley

But the V8 would actually be affordable. Smiley

And Car and Driver would still pick the M3 over it. Roll Eyes

Hey!  You split the thread.  Now my post doesn't make any sense.  That was my funniest moment on the site.
