No, since someone else who worked with IS-F dev team before the car was released had explained the reason to me a few months ago.

Even if they are completely fake/detached/serve no purpose what-so-ever; I like them.. and the exhaust sounds great.

Its still lame on the R8, but at least they're not molded as a single piece with the bumper so be easier to swap for a real exhaust.

hehe... so i said it in the other thread, but this weekend is the "other" car show... i'm going to go and take pictures of all the fake exhausts I can find... call it a scavenger hunt, lol
