I am a man of few words. Today, I couldn't think of any to say
« on: June 06, 2008, 03:41:22 PM »

It was only a matter of time.  I knew it would happen.   Today another SC mated with mine.

I had just driven into a parking slot about 100ft from any other car and raised the roof when a beautiful metallic silver SC with its top down pulled in along side me.  Sitting behind the wheel was this gorgeous creature.  She raised the top and got out of her car, walked to my passenger window, looked in and smiled.

Now, you have to picture this: two fantastic cars, luscious surface colors, a beautiful woman and out of his car steps this short, balding old man, walks to the angelic creature standing between both vehicles. . . and couldn’t think of damn thing to say.

I did think that all is well with the world.

The lesson I learned today is that I should have gotten an SC when they first came out.

Wonder what my wife would have thought if she had been with me today.

Been there...

Was at a gas station one evening on the PA turnpike, super hottie comes up.  Says, "I like your car a lot."  I smile and say thanks.  Then she pauses, gets in front of me and goes, "I like your car A LOT," with that smile... you know the one I'm talking about.

Me.  Deer in the headlights expression until she got the clue I was now mentally  dead and walked away, lol.  Probably for the best anyway.  Since I'm sure my gf would not have been happy! Smiley

here's what I always say.... "yeah, my wife bought it for me, she's the best!"  the key is... anytime this happens, you gotta tell your wife that you said it... scores big points in the bedroom activity area.

people tell me all the time how much they like my car, honestly.  random people out and about, people who work at the hospital (that I don't know).  I doubt they're hitting on me, but I still say it anyway.

Oh, I posted the story on FA but I'll tell it again (im a little bored at my hangout)
OK, so I'm leaving my office/hangout and have the Gallardo Spyder with the top down parked in front of my door.
http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc270/trincap/IMG00129.jpg
Some gal in her 20's is there with her civic parked in front of mine.  She is writing a note.  Looks at me and smiles, I say "heya".  She says Oh I was leaving you a note.  Oh f*ck, did she tap me?  "Saying?" "Oh I wanted to know if you knew anything about how to get out of a parking ticket?"  WTF?  A what?  "Uh, why?"  "Oh I got one for parking in front of a housedriveway the other day but it was my friends house, you looked like you would know how to get out of these things".  I went on to explain how she was 99.9% screwed and there was no way to get out of them and to think of it more like a car tax not a ticket or she'd go crazy.  "Oh, well did you want to pay it?"  (WTF!?!?) "uh no, I've got more than enough, I even keep copies inside (no that wasn't a proposition, sheesh)".  "Oh, ok well I'd settle for a ride?"  Then I thought for a second and said "wait a sec, you were leaving me your phone number weren't you?"  "No no, I thought you knew something about tickets. . .and. well yes I guess my number would have been there too" (smiles again).  "I gotta ask ya, how do you know I wasn't 60 something 300 pounds and bald?"  "I saw you pull up earlier and go inside".  I shook my head and thought, ahhhh if I was only still single I'd have taken her for two rides.  What I said though was, "heh, sorry hon, I don't think my wife would appreciate it".  Then got in my car and took off.
