Lexus Greed
« on: May 26, 2008, 11:23:19 AM »

Lexus have apparently become very, very greedy, vicious people. They didn't used to be like this. The new IS-F seems to have made them think they are a wee bit more important than they are. The car is NOT moving off lots like an "exclusive" car should; and dealers are being (allegedly) told by lexus corporate to hold the prices firm, even though the cars aren't moving.

A great example:

Lexus of Palm Beach has a Red IS-F. It's been sitting for a few weeks now. It has something like 1000 miles. Asking price? Full MSRP.

Come on..... seriously.

1000 miles?  Is it on the new lot or the used lot?  Tongue

Sadly, that's EXACTLY what they think.

"No movement on the pricing as Per Lexus HQ - these are considered
exclusive cars and they want to try to hold the pricing."

So I guess following their suggestive ability, I am going to "consider" myself a millionaire.......

Still waiting!

I can't find my story (which I thought I posted here) about Palm Beach Lexus totally blowing me off.. anyway, the same RED IS-F is there... its been a month and some odd now.

I was talking to my boss/owner of company, he said he went in to PB Lexus on Saturday to drive the IS-F; they flat out refused to let him drive it at all saying "potential buyers of the car dont want excessive mileage on it". The car already has something like 1,000 miles, and they have FIVE other IS-F sitting on the lot. WTF?

My boss currently has a CTS-V and was considering the IS-F, now he is just PISSED. He, unlike me, could actually afford to walk in there and pay cash for any car they have on the lot.. and they wont even let him drive a freaking IS-F. Did lexus tell the dealers this thing was made of gold/platinum or something?

Agreed. JM Lexus was much better to me. Palm Beach Lexus is a joke.
