Lexus GS-F

The next car in the Lexus F line-up will be the Lexus GS-F (artist’s impression above by Theophilus Chin), supposed to be aimed square at the BMW M5. The GS-F will most likely be powered by the V10 that’s supposed to be slotted into the Lexus LF-H supercar, making over 500 horsepower.

Well its confirmed that the next "F" product from lexus will be a GS, but this is just a speculation as to what it will look like.  I'm thinking the rims will look a bit sportier, and IMO the front spoiler doesnt flow with the car at all... probably just a PS'd IS-F from the headlight/foglights down

I think it'll have great potential, they'll have learned from their mistakes from the IS-F already, and will be able to improve upon the GS changes based on what they've learned.

Unfortunately based on the $58k price of the IS-F, I think GS-F will be out of my affordability range.. Sad

I'm right there with you. I think I will just have to wait on the 2010 M. Or I might have to get a 2010 6MT Sedan...

their mistake was using 98% of the IS body to make the IS-F.  People don't want to pay for a prettied up version of the same car with a different engine that most people won't even realize is anything special.  On the BMW forums, hardcore M3 people won't buy the car in a color that isn't exclusive to the M3 because they worry people might mistake it for a 328.

I wonder... would they have had more success if invested a little more money and created an obviously different design for the car.

I think the car would fair better if it wasnt sharing so many panels with the base IS, so I totally agree with you. It's one of the reasons (besides the fact the car is really small, and the fact that it's marked up insanely, and not selling well enough to warrant it... ) that I haven't jumped on the car. I feel the same way about the 'exclusive' color things because i'm kind of snobby like that Wink But the colors that are exclusive to the -F are a little over the top for me.. I love the blue, but I don't like all the blue it would attract. Smiley
