Lexus has placed first in J.D. Power’s 2009 Customer Service Index (CSI) Study, which looks at satisfaction among vehicle owners who visit a service department for maintenance or repair work over the first three years of ownership:

Lexus ranks highest in customer satisfaction with dealer service in 2009—improving from fourth rank position in 2008. Lexus achieves an overall CSI score of 835 on a 1,000-point scale and performs particularly well in four of the five measures: service quality; service initiation; service advisor and service facility. Rounding out the top five nameplates are Jaguar (810), BMW (808), Cadillac (806) and Acura (805).

A substantial jump over last year’s results, when Lexus placed fourth behind Jaguar, Cadillac & Buick — which has to come as good news to the brand. Customer satisfaction is never more important than in trying times, as these types of studies affect purchasing more than ever.

Yeah
Infinity service is as good as BMWs IMO
When i serviced my FX i was very pleased with NYC dealer
I wonder where they are on this scale, should be pretty close

From everything I've read Infiniti service is hit and miss at best.  Their #14 position shows  that they have a ways to go.

That's what I have seen on Infinitihelp and the FX forums.  For every good dealership like the one RH goes to there is at least one nightmare story.  Although I've only heard a handfull of stories about Lexus dealership service, they have all been very positive.

yeah but when something is great you don't typically seek out a public outlet to publish your good results.  When you feel you've been taken advantage of, you want to get the word out to everyone possible

I have been fortunate to have received good service from local dealerships.  None failed to provide the service I required.  Without question, the two local Lexus dealerships I have used provided the best overall service.

Acura (five RL’s)
Personnel:  Indifferent
Expertise:   Acceptable
Ambiance:  Clean and Spartan
Cost:           Reasonable


Infiniti (one M45)
Personnel:  Helpful
Expertise:   Good
Ambiance:  On the edge of luxury
Cost:           A bit on the high side


Lexus (ES and SC)
Personnel:  Extremely cordial and efficient
Expertise:    Excellent
Ambience:   Sumptuous
Cost:            High
