Mike is the one that can authoritatively compare the M45 to the M56 as well as speak to the major differences between the excellent LS460 and the M's. I join Lawman in asking Mike to give us his comparison of these models after he puts some serious miles on his new M56.

in Oztiks post, "Dealer delivered the new 56 and picked up the old 45 and said the 45 felt 'boring."  I sure disagree with that man.  My M45 was anything but boring.  It was an exciting powerful car that zoomed into high speeds and almost matched the handling of my former BMW's.  I liked the electronics and found the appointments pleasing to the eye.

Now, if you want to talk about boring, the Lexus ES, LS and SC are boring . . . boring because they envelop one in luxury and comfort and drive as smooth as butter on toast.  That is why one buys a Lexus.

My personal inspection of the new Infiniti M line really impressed me.  I think this model is a beautifully styled car.  Its interior is pulsating.  From reading Mike's posts in the various forums, I would believe the M56 to be a great performer and equipped with the best or near-best electronic tech components on the market.

I would take Lexus and Infiniti over the German makes any day.  In fact, this is what I have done for the past fourteen years.  If I were replacing my present car, it would be with an M56.
