Quick specs.

- VQ37VHR engine rated for 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque
- 6 speed manual transmission 7 speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and both offer down shift rev matching.
- Available 14" brake package
- ~100 lbs lighter than the current 350Z; lower, shorter and wider than current model
- Available 19" RAYS forged wheels wheels with 245/275 width tires.
- 2 silvers, white, yellow, red, blue, black among the exterior colors and black, gray and red-orange interior colors
- Available Nav, push button start, integrated screen, bluetooth, Bose system with music box

Basically, the suspension design, engine, transmission, brakes and center nav screen / controls are all lifted from the G37.  The "SyncroRev" feature for the 6MT is rev matching for downshifts once the clutch and synchros indicate a downshift is occurring.  Its a defeatable feature, but eliminates the need for heel toe maneuvers.  Even though it's the same engine and drivetrain as the G37, it's about 500 lbs lighter so it'll have a marked performance improvement.  Nothing really new here mechanically other than the revmatching feature on the 6MT, but its a better package than the G37 from a sport perspective.  And it's all wrapped up in fancy new packaging.

I like it all except the trim treatment around the instrument cluster.  Too much aluminum.

I think it looks decent. I'm not as impressed as I was hoping, though! They did a pretty good job at keeping the previous base styling of the car - the design is definitely evolutionary, as it should be - I think.

It's like that on the 350Z too.  Some people have used that as a location to install stealth gauges.

Not surprised though, you're the same guy who told me that getting in the back seats must be impossible last night. Cheesy

I think I had people back there once?  Mostly because of the novelty of actually having usable back seats. Cheesy

Other than that, they're only used when I fold them down to carry something larger than the space allowed in the rear.

Still pretty useless, too bad the STI didn't come as a 3 door hatch.

I guess you missed my "intended translation" of taking advantage of the backseat, haha

I got it, but I'm a grown man.  That's the kind of stuff you did when you were 18 and had no place to hide and were too broke for a room at the motel. Smiley

If I want to feel like I'm 18, I'll get an 18 year old.  But the most I need to slum it is a Motel 6 Smiley
