It certainly is big enough Oz.  Are you starting a kids soccer team?  Was it a deal to good to pass up?

I think it's awesome!  It's a great car, and I'm the one who likes the roof line design from the start, so I'm partial.  It just needs some updates now (specially engine/transmission), but I'm afraid they're not coming.

It's a family members car.  Smiley

Yeah.. knock on wood. I havent hit anything, yet. It really does handle very well for the size, but has pretty limited visibility. It has blindspots that make tons of vehicles COMPLETELY invisible.

I've always liked it. I was the one who recommended it (twice) to the person who owns it.

They actually updated the last two(?) years with a much nicer interior, almost comparable to the QX56. I can't say I think it needs an engine upgrade, but the transmission is definitely a little lacking. The thing is QUICK though, especially for passing. Off the line, it doesn't feel that quick... but when you are passing and you go WOT, the thing just takes on a whole new personality. Gotta love torque-y V8's (317HP/385TQ!)

The transmission could use an extra gear or two for highway cruising, although I think the aerodynamics are so bad that the gains might only be marginal even with extra gearing....

Before the whole carpocalypse, there was supposed to be a joint venture between Nissan and (Dodge?) to re-create the Armada and (some other Dodge car).. but i'm not sure where that stands, now...

Either way, as "Big SUV's" go, I really like the handling dynamics. I havent had a chance to drive a sequoia but I'd suspect it has a similar feel to it - wide wheelbase and fairly well balanced. I had done test-drives on Tahoe/Suburban/etc before the Armada purchase and the Tahoe/Suburban had decent interiors but HORRIBLE stock rides (very very floaty, tons of body roll); in contrast, the Armada feels amazingly solid and well-planted.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the 24's for daily driving, but they are awesome in the rain. Smiley
