Agreed. Kind of works for the GTR but not for the X1...(referring to the front bumper here).

How small is this car?  Is it really that much smaller, lower, than the x3?  I'm confused about it's market segment.

And I agree, the front end is it's worst angle.  The rear is "ugly", as pretty much every X series is.

It's like a bad knockoff of the EX35

Yeah.. not sure what market segment BMW are catering to with this either. I guess it's so "everyone" can feel special by driving a BMW these days (1 series, and now the X1)...

Kind of degrades the brand "image" IMHO

It doesn't get any better in real life.  I'm still confused what differentiates it from the X3 too.  Unless that and the X5 are getting much bigger or uplevel.

What's the deal with the low profile tires and the HUGE fender gap? It doesnt appear to be for suspension travel as the front bumper would bottom out pretty quickly, it seems....

probably cause those are 19" rims and the stocks are like 17s with beefy tires.. won't look as funny like that.  It'll look like a normal compact SUV.

I saw a new X5 yesterday and it was ugly in the rear. The taillights are so far up now (further up than a Lexus RX). Looks like it got a butt lift.

Hm..
I have different opinion regarding X5's butt
I have always hated it. Front of it always looked good, but rear was out of place and just plain ugly
Well, latest generation IMO is huge improvement
I cant say it's gorgeous, but definetely looks good, at least much better than on most SUVs butts

P.S. Saw it at night the other day, - beautiful
I just love those parallel LED tube lights

I was a huge fan of the last generation X5 4.2(or 4.5? or 5? whatever it was). All the lines were right.. it has slowly gone downhill since then.
