Seems to me that with those criteria, the X6 (M or not) is a perfect fit for you.  I drove one and frankly, I liked it.  I also think it's attractive although the little lady thinks it's currently the ugliest car on the road. (What does she know, she hated the Gallardo too)
As for me, I'm pretty much stuck with the GX460.  Finding one is Effing impossible though because of the Earthquake.  Dealers are asking for retail price on a 2010 used one with 2000 miles.  Full sticker on a used car from last year??!?! GTFO
Heck, at that price I'll just wait till the summer is over and buy it then.

My friend, on the other hand, really thinking of getting one, MY2012
He's hauling two kids in his 335i sedan for now

its all about perspective.... I think the 335i sedan is way too small for car seats.  Lucky you are past the "backwards" car seat position, which would really cramp the front seat position.  Now that your toddler is 2, he/she (name by the way! Grin and congrats) can sit straight up.  No matter how much I like the M3 sedan, C63 or ISF and wanted it to work for me, the back seat is too small for my perspective for kids/passengers.  The M has plenty of room in the rear, even more so than the FX, I think... not sure, but seems like it.  But yeah, if your buddy is fine with the 335 room, than the X6 may be a tad bit better, at least the height of the X6 may help vs. the low of the 335....

yeah, I know all the specs of kiddies and cars....hehehehe

Geez, all these exotic machines. My wife had Suburbans while the kids were growing up. She's easy I guess. She loves the damn things. We still have an '01 she won't give up. It's paid for...  Roll Eyes

Hey, now. Isn't that the standard deal on your Ferraris? When you turn them that is? Smiley

DD=daily drive? No. But she loves it. It's big, heavy, brawny, 4x4, tall off the ground, sucks gas worse than my M and melts the polar ice caps. I guess w/some women all that macho stuff makes up for their obvious penis envy. You know, kinda' like the penis envy of all those little males who run those big red Corvettes et al...  Roll Eyes

Yeah well. . . that's a Ferrari with a 2 year wait list.  Much different animal.  So, I ended up buying the GX460.  I managed to find a 2011 model with gadgets galore including dvd screens and outside front/side/rear view cameras.  I paid $59k for it.  I had to call 18 (yes seriously, EIGHTEEN!) dealers before I found the right one at the right price.  This one happened to be a dealer demo and has 500 miles on it but I'll live with it.  It's the wife's after all.  The truck should pick it up in a few days.  This could be the LEAST I've looked forward to having a new car I've ever been.  I'm very "Eh." about it.
