As some of you may or may not have noticed, occasionally when you hit 'post' on a topic it would take an EXTREMELY long time for the page to return. This was due to the fact that people subscribe to threads (which I highly recommend!) and the page was attempting to send all the subscribers their email immediately. I have made a change so it goes into the background and returns the page quicker. You should get the emails in the same amount of time as you did previously.

Why am I telling you this? I have no idea.

My guess is that it's self-aggrandizement born of an innate deep psychological need for approval and a sense of accomplishment, related, no doubt, to your repressed narcissistic tendencies coupled with feelings of inadequacy and self-loathing.

Or ... maybe it's just because you thought we'd like to know.

It was only sporadically slow - but when it was slow, it was to the tune of 10 seconds... I'm glad you didnt suffer through it though, hopefully no one else did either. The most deceptive thing was the page load time still showed < 0.2 seconds
