Welcome, everyone.

For those of you who know me through FreshAlloy (almost everyone so far!), not much to say other than, looks like we are off to a fabulous start and thank you!
For the rest of you, hopefully your presence will grow to be a significant demographic.

So where do I begin?

We are here because it was time for me to leave FA and Oztiks felt an yearning to start something truly ‘Fresh’. So in the span of a week we exchanged dozens of emails and managed to not only get a company formed, several domain names registered, software evaluated, servers brought online, but we also put some content on the site too!

And what content! The members we have today are some of the most informed car enthusiasts I have encountered and with a range of talents that go well beyond the scope of automotives. And that is precisely the user base we want to foster. We already have a Photography section that shows great promise.

CARfaq.org

The name says it all, kind of. The site vision is to be the central hub of your entire luxury car informational needs. We want our members to go to other sites, in fact we encourage it. We want to provide enough original content and links so that they will come back here to add new sources, post about them and generate futher new content. We are a little Infiniti biased currently, but that is only because of our heritage. We hope that the joining of other brand owners will make this a richer and more broad spectrum environment.

Our goal is to make this site as informative as possible, yet still retain the ‘funness’ of online discussion forums. That means that we will have some structure that is missing from many other sites, but it will allow the members to find what the are looking for quickly. We will also have no qualms about members posting other vehicle related issues. Why? Because that too is information and we are not affiliated with any part dealers or manufacturers. Unbiased to start unbiased to the end.

But a site can’t be too singularly focused and still be a place of open discussion and frivolity. So we have off topic and off the cuff discussions too!

I intend to keep everyone well informed and in the loop regarding our direction and intentions. Please visit the ‘Musings from Ohmster and Oztiks’ forum for more in-depth details and discussions. We hope you enjoy the site as much as we have in starting it.
