I got tired of my M (some of you already knew I kinda lost the love)...so I traded it in today for a new '09 Mini Cooper Clubman S. 6 speed turbocharged. I'm in love...this car exceeded my expectations. Her name is Lucy btw.

It's such a blast to drive. Very quick, builds boost like there's no tomorrow and handles like a little go kart.

Sweet, congrats.  I briefly looked into a Mini before I bought the M, but with me being 6'2, my little one's would have to fold there legs up like a wonton    However my wife and I are looking into commuter cars for her and I'm really digging the Mini as a 3rd car.  If she would only let me pull the trigger to pick one up.

Keep us up to date on how you like it.

RH- Heavier big version? LOL its a Clubman..yes a little longer than the regular Cooper. It has a suicide door on the passenger side. If not for that I wouldn't have considered a Mini. Union Flag?...look at the mirrors and rear view mirror. I don't like the British Racing Green. 

DenaliTim- Did you look at the Clubmans or a regular Cooper? My husband is 6'1". The Clubman has a longer wheel base and he is fine in the passenger seat with my daughter in the backseat (front facing carseat). This car has exceeded my expectations (handling and power). I love all the toggle switches and mood lighting. It handles great in the rain and on the highway...lets just say I can fly around curves and the car wants to be pushed further.

br1ank- Yes the mod bug will always have me. I have already ordered a black 4" billet stubby antenna because I can't stand the 11" rubber rc car antenna. I am going to add a driving light kit and a few other exterior accessories. I'm still doing research on engine mods but more than likely going to do a John Cooper Works (JCW) upgrade (intake, exhaust and ECU reflash). Maybe the JCW big brakes in the future and that would involve upgrading to an 18" wheel/tire. There are a few other things that I might change but not much. This car really doesn't need much modification.

yeah if I'm going to buy a green car, it would have to be the bright lambo green. BRG is not me. Yes it's practically the same color combo. The mini is a tad bit darker. Interior is black too. It's funny because out of the maybe 30 minis on the lot, I think they may have had 1 other dark silver mini. It seems like all the others were blue, red, green, yellow, white or black. They make 1 othe silver color but it's actually gold lol. I will post more pics later. Tint got delayed and so did my clay bat and detail. I'm loving the interior and all the toggle switches. It takes time to get use to but it's such a cool touch.

Thanks oz for the new forum! I know I ditched the M. I lost the love and couldn't really mod it more without spend more than $10k to make it where I wanted. The mini is soooo mod friendly and very friendly to my pocket. I'm saving money all around so with the savings, I'm able to buy Lucy some goodies. I can't do much right now because I put money down. I gotta go easy with the mods or my husband will kick my butt. Lol sounds backwards huh?
