You must be seeing things.  Actually it wasn't the tire but the photo, which is now fixed.

Very nice.  My wife likes the color and I like this new design for Honda.

Based on Honda's reputation for reliability, this nice ride should give you many enjoyable years of safe and trouble free driving.

We did not look at or test drive the Rogue.  I would have liked to do so.  I did not actually realize my wife wanted to buy a crossover until we got to the Honda dealership.  At that point, it was too late to look at anything else given my spouse's strong brand loyalty.

I'm thinking that's largely a "female thing". My wife is the same way ... or at least WAS, until she finally saw the light recently.

I mean, there are lots of guys who are stuck on a brand, but I like to think it's usually because they're genuinely convinced it's a superior product mechanically, or performance-wise, etc. With women, it's often just that they "like Hondas" (or Cadillacs or Nissans, or whatever). They usually can't give you any specific, logical arguments for that brand ... they just "like" it.

Guys in general seem to be more open-minded, and willing to see what the other brands have to offer. Over the past 5 years, I've had BMW, Nissan, Acura, Infiniti and Lexus cars, and even a Dodge truck or two. I think I learned a lot about what I like and what the mfr's have to offer by doing so. And if I had just stuck to one brand, all I would know is what that one brand has to offer.

Some car forums treat you like a traitor if you have the gall to actually buy a different brand of car, and that's soooo stupid. They're the ones missing out!

Mike, you are right-on regarding how some car owners are about the brand of car they own.  They are downright vociferous in tirades against owners of other brands who dare espouse an opinion that differs.

The funny thing is that I have found those who scream the loudest and fling the most dirt on the other brand, usually have never been within a mile of that other brand or model.  They have preconceived ideas, little factual evidence a massive egos that they must display for adulation.

Over the years my wife has uttered very specific comments about cars we look at.  "I hate that car!"  Why dear?  "Because its ugly."  Oh.

Or, that car is beautiful.  Really dear?  Why do you say that? "Well, it goes so great with my dress."  Oh.

Now when we look at cars I say, wow, that car has a 900 gansalec a bamerescanz engine with quadrouple tail pipes; and, look at the lecta aarc wheels with the caldona spokes.  My wife looks at, shakes her head and said, "but the color is wrong."

So Mike, I agree with you.  We men, with some exceptions, look at more earthy things.  Women on the other hand, look at the really important things . . . like color and how the car goes with their clothing.

I'm not going to mention any names, but that's how I got treated from
going from a Nissan to a Honda.  I tried to explain, I don't want a CVT,
they are like nope, CVT's are better, I'm like whatever.   Grin

I gotta say that Heat guy from FA is the worst offender... he used to talk SOOOOOO much smack about the BMW 3 series.... and low and behold... didn't hear from him for a while... and Andrey PM's me a link to where he bought a 3 series.... thats classic!

As for my cars... well i went from a mitsubishi rebadged as a Dodge to a saturn to honda to chevy to ford to infiniti.... all i can say is each was a little better than the last (except for maybe the saturn -> honda trade) so as long as the next car is better than my current car i will be  hyper

to be OT...

Are you using the "clarity" setting?  I'm loving the first image.  It looks great, but it seems that you are losing detail in the ones that follow.  If that is the case I would pull some of the Clarity and boost the contrast if you like that contrast-y look.  If its not the case then I would pull the "recovery" up a bit to bring some detail back into those white portions.

I do not recall exactly what I did to the second photo.  I do like to use the clarity slider, and sometimes overdo it.  The following is three images of the second photo.  The first one is as shot, no processing changes.  The second one is only very slightly processed, with no changes in contrast, including no use of the clarity slider.  The third one reflects minimal processing: slight use of the clarity slider, a minimal curves adjustment, slight use of the fill slider, and a small amount of brightness added to and slight sharpening of the wheels.  None of the photos show any clipping of highlights on the histogram.
