Time for an update and time to start working on the car. Cheesy

Did Cobb's Stage 1 93 map today.  Nice kick in the pants.  Basically takes the car from 305 hp / 290 lb-ft stock to around 340/340 with no supporting mods.  The car definitely likes it. I just broke 700 miles, so once I hit 1000, will get an oil change and start getting on it. Cheesy

Shades of Gray is a great place in Feasterville PA and where I had my tint done. All they do is tint, both automotive and commerical and their shop has a  great setup.  The area where they work on the cars is carpeted to reduce risk of dust from the floor, they have a huge array of lights and hoses w/ misters so its really well set up for doing tinting.  They did a great job on my glass.  You all know I'm picky as hell when it comes to things like tint, big reason why I didn't do the G35, but I'm pretty happy with it so far, so that's saying something!  Did 40% all around.  I didn't want to do the fronts different than the rears, and since its illegal to do the fronts in NJ, I didn't feel like going much darker.  It works well with the car's color and is enough.

He also did my tail lights too.  Custom cut red film for those.  Much better look.  I might paint them at some point, but this helps me to decide on the look and the tint will definitely hold up if I decide to keep them as is.  Main reason I'd go to tint is so I can wax and polish them.  I'm getting some slight bubbling on one, so I'll keep my eyes on that over the next couple days.

Here's how it turned out.

I'm going to rep the SOG logo until I can detail the car.  Then the pin stripes are coming off too.

Super close up of the rear, you can see how good a job they did around the edges and rear defroster.

And the rear tails.

The one area where its not sticking that I need to keep an eye on.  I've pushed that back down twice today.  Might need to hit it with some water.

Give you and idea of how thick the material is.

Looks good man!

Did you get the stock ECU reflash done before the Cobb?

Had that done Wednesday.  Cobb had updated Firmware on Thursday.  Updated my AP on Friday.  Reflashed my car on Saturday. Smiley

Only downside is I can't wash my car for a good week or so and its nasty with water spots and runs.  Washing the film on the rear might affect its ability to set.  Full detail in September after my vacation I think.

Tint looks nice, but I like the stock tail's better.   Cheesy

Put a blade to it; a vertical cut should do the trick.

Looks nice...  They did a really good job around the edges, do they laser cut the sheets?

Thing that sucked was the shop I went to for tint had that laser cutting machine, but they didn't have the pattern for my car...

Yeah, their sheets are laser cut on site.  Overall, I'm pretty happy with the job and I'm very picky when it comes to things like window tint.

Looks really clean...  Nothing wrong with being picky!!!  I am too, but I say that "i'm very particular about certain things."  That usually shuts them up.  laugh

That's how I wanted to be this time around.  Since I'm only planning on 3 years with the car, anything I do is done by spring to ensure I have as much time as possible with it.  No more doing a mod, just to have to demod it within 12 months!  And if I keep it longer, well its already done. Cheesy
