The EX is supposed to go against the X3 and the RDX, right?  I don't think those two are also huge successes either.

I have to say my wife once told me that, if she had to choose, she would take the EX over the G35 anyday, no question about it.

I think that small crossover/SAV market was never a market to begin with.  I'm guessing BMW introduced the X3, because people want a BMW SUV and couldn't afford 60k for an X5.  Then other makes were like whoa... BMW is cornering the small luxury crossover market!

The X3 and RDX are _everywhere_ here... Sad

I don't know man.  Sedans can be really boring.  If you're not on the upscale market you can get bored really quickly.  That's why the Murano sell so well, or the Honda CR-V, etc.   Why go with the Altima, or the Accord, if there is that new car over there so much different?  After 3 Accords in a row, many are willing to change, I guess.

It's not a rational thing.  Nobody needs an EX really.  There's passion involved, only not sport-performance-gadgets-directed one.

Same around here, for what it's worth.

Everything here is about the newest trend - I think that's where the RDX/X3 come in to play, since they are the new kids on the block. You used to (>1 yr ago) see X5's and MDX's everywhere and they have slowly tapered off somewhat, and now X3's and RDX's are everywhere (still X5's and MDX's mixed in). This of course is just my day to day commute, who knows what happens in the "Real World".

Speaking of newest trend...I saw my first X6 (and a new Mazda 6) yesterday.  The X6 is a gigantic vehicle and seems unecessarily so considering it only fits four.

A side note...does anyone know if Infiniti has future plans to put daytime running lights on their vehicles?! I know this seems like an odd question but I've had so many near misses in my current car just from people pulling out from a stop sign too late, etc.  DRL's would definitely help visibility. Just a thought.

Nissan takes lots of odd "stances" it seems. The canadian version of our cars are built with DRL capability, but bits and pieces yanked. In my fuse boxes there are several placeholders for the DRL fuses. Im sure there's BCM and other mods required to make it work as well, but they SPECIFICALLY build US bound cars without the DRL "on". it's weird.

The fuse locations are there? Crap I'm going to have to check this out. Has anyone just tried 'putting in a fuse'? It is possible that the BCM is not affected. Remember, I tapped into the BCM for the Fuga Mirror Hack..

I just noticed - Omar is guilty of modifying my post instead of quote-ing it Smiley He removed my commentary on the fuse location/BCM stuff Sad

PS - the fuse "blank" spots are there in the engine bay. There are no actual fuse holders to my recollection. I believe it's also labelled on the fuse cover as DRL. Trust me, if it would have accepted a fuse I would have already tried it! Smiley
