Hmm.. I wonder how god it WOULD actually look. Mind you, i'm sure the offsets are way different, etc.. and I'd suspect the GT-R rims will be insanely priced?

It's a pretty bad photoshop. I am trying to envision it with all the angles proper. I think it'd actually look pretty good then.
Who knows.

Again, I like the idea a lot...the photoshop is not perfect, but with a little bit of imagination, you can see it would work, IMHO. Not as flashy as some aftermarket wheels, but maybe that is the point. I could see a v8 420 HP G35-R - M3 beater - with those wheels...sigh...One can only dream...

^ along the lines of what I was thinking....
yeah like I said... photoshopped... nothing remotely real about this photo, and the offsets would probably push the wheels way outside the fenders. And yes, I believe the wheels are between 7 and 8000 dollars, and they're not for sale, they'd have to be take-offs from someone who wanted to go aftermarket.

The main problem with the photoshop is that he used the rear rim for the front and the rear. It would look a bit more "normal" if he had taken the front wheel which wouldn't be nearly that deep and used it for the front. That does look damn good IMHO... Might like it more than with the G37 wheels + gunmetal...

yeah the photoshop is kinda sucky... but the rims are pretty badass. its an agressive wheel... and probably no way it would fit well on a sedan

You can now buy your own GT-R rims:
On Ebay for only 7500.00 with tires
or $8410 at Nissan without tires, @ Nissan for $6500.00
Oh, boy.

Can anyone tell me why these rims are sooo expensive? They're not spectacularly beautiful, nor are they ugly... I can't find anything about exotic materials or anything special about these rims. I know they're made by Rays, but so were the track edition 350Z rims, and those weren't nearly as expensive.
Is it the exclusivity?

^ more than likely its a matter of dealer markup.... just like the manufacturer who makes wheels for lambo probably marks them up a lot... then the dealer marks them up even more... cause if you can afford a lambo, you can probably afford a few grand for a wheel

G35 forged rims are like $800 a wheel from the dealer. The markup is ridiculous because I can get larger, nicer, forged monoblock rims for less than that. If I had a GTR, I'd definitely be investing in wheel and tire insurance. I have it on my G35. Its pretty much paid for itself the first time I had a flat and the sidewall shredded. Replaced my $350
aftermarket
tire on my aftermarket wheel.

So... Its dealer mark-up, which kind of adds to the exclusivity concept since most people can't afford or don't want to shell out that much coin for rims?
I just can't fathom why they would cost that much...

You have got to pay to play... they are banging on the idea that they are new and people will pay more for that. Plus being OEM, you don't really have any other options

The front set looks good, but I thought the wheels were lighter in color? The rear set looks ugly.
Photoshop version looked better, I think. Overall maybe the wheels are too big for the car (and/or the tires profile's too low), it also looks it was dropped way too much in the rear.

i think its just the color... there's the smoked rims like ohm had that were on the lighter colored cars and then the polished or stainless wheels on the darker colored GTRs... this car definitely needed the stainless steel/aluminum wheels not an off-black look

I believe they are reps... The car is pretty low, and they do look quite big but I like them. I do think they would look much better on a coupe or the M b/c of the size.
