Wow, that's an AWESOME looking car.  Sheesh that's nice.  I'm not a huge fan of the grill (I don't like that gaping hole look) but that's seriously one of the nicest ones ive seen.  You know, it goes back to my original thoughts on Infiniti, they are very very attractive cars.  Maybe not the G 4 door but the coupe and the M?  Really snazzy cars.  I find it strange that there are such obvious glaring things they could fix that they haven't yet but in the looks department they are definately competing and I will say this, I'll take a G37S (I think I got that right) over a 325i BooringMW any day.

Dark cars are always a pain to keep up, but looks good with a good detail job.

Looks sharp.

I had never seen the whole of your car before - just the front end. That is really nice looking. Are your rear fenders rolled or is that stock? They seem more aggressive than i've seen on the older G35's that I recall, at least..

If it weren't for the plastic chairs and the board in the background that picture would almost be worthy of becoming a poster itself. Smiley

Well if you ever want to trade the Gran Turismo for it, let me know.  Tongue

That is the stock fenders.  Even if I rolled my fenders, they wouldn't stick out any further.  That's something the G37 lost a bit with the rounded design, the strong fender lines.

Not sure how long it took.  Off and on over 2 days between helping Rick with the roadster, doing the demo, going home, coming back, etc...  I was really hoping to hit it uninterrupted and see how long it took to do the entire job straight through.

And for those who are interested, this is the process I used on the car.  I'm doing some write-ups on detailing for the club site w/ Detailed Image so once those are done, I'll post them here too.

    Washing, dry and clay bar
    • Poorboy's Super Slick and Suds car wash
    • Wash w Sheepskin mitt for upper portion of vehicle and a heavier duty scrubber for the fender wells and bumpers
    • Chemical Guys Grime Reaper degreaser for the brake dust and bugs (5:1 dilution).  This stuff is awesome, cuts right through brake dust and helps to soften bugs and tar
    • Dried using waffle weave microfiber towels
    • Clear Kote Clay Bar and Quick Detailer for lube

Steps w/ Porter Cable 7424 - All products removed by hand w/ microfiber towel
      • Menzerna Intense Polish medium cutting polish  w/ Orange pad
      • Menzerna PO106FF finishing polish w/ White pad
      • Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze w/ White pad
      • Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket synthetic sealant w/ Black pad

        Finishing Steps by hand
        • Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield spray sealant applied with sprayer and buffed w/ microfiber towel
        • Chemical Guys Pete's 53 Black Pearl paste wax applied w/ a micofiber pad
        • Aerospace 303 Protectant on tires, all black exterior trim, interior plastic and leather.
        • Stoner's Invisible Glass on all clear plastic and glass

There are a couple things I didn't get around to applying for time.  I normally use Poorboy's Bold and Bright as a finisher on the tires, its a water based tire dressing, won't brown your tires and gives it a nice healthy black look.  I also like to use Leatherique Rubber Black Dye on the external trim as it is literally a black dye that helps to make your plastic super black.  I have some pics of what those products can do that I'll upload later, my club did a detailing day on Sunday so I was showing the guys how to use some of that stuff.

Well, I've never used Natty's Blue, so I can't compare to that.  I previously used the $34 can of P21S Concourse (blue lid) which works great on all colors.   We do have a container of Natty's Blue at the shop so maybe I should give it a try in a month.

Pete's 53 definitely gives you more gloss, pop and depth than the P21S.  It also has an incredible coconut smell.  But it is pricey and is a little tough to work off.  I'm not sure if my application of HGAS affect that or not.  Overall, I really like the Pete's and will stick with it as long as budget allows.  Even covered with some dust / pollen, the car still has great shine.

One of the few times where the paint is so glossy the tires look dull. Smiley
