Looks like those side panels were designed for exactly that. An optional, larger screen!
Do you think? I sure hope so, but I don't believe in optional OEM screens. With what, tech pack?
I do....makes it look more organic.
Yes, true to a point. It's cheap to integrate the stereo nowadays. Everybody does this crazy placement of buttons, practically nobody uses the single din opening anymore, like the Subaru Tribecca:

How much is this Subaru again?
But I'd rather have a high end stereo look to it. Less curved, stacked like professional sound/HT equipment, not kitchen grade BOSE stuff for retirees. And somehow compatible with a double din for future upgrades, but it doesn't need to look like it. Of course, few at this level would upgrade the sound system (or the wheels, suspension, etc. but people do cool, crazy stuff (see Br1ank

). I mean, you shouldn't need to, but given they're stuck with Bose, that would be nice to make it easier for us to upgrade.
In any case, a big screen would be nicer, like this guy did on his FX [edit: it's a 10.4" touchscreen display from a Toshiba toughbook Tablet PC]

:

And then you click on "expert mode" and you get a 32 band equalizer with programmable frequency selection on your display (like the Alpine PXA-H701 lets you do, but not with that display):

That's the future, my friends. Or so I hope! LOL
Right now, I was just expecting a bigger screen and better software, with more eq controls, and perhaps even Internet/google like the upcoming BMWs/Mercedes.
