Looks like that was a really good show! Lots of nicely done cars in it. I was kinda disappointed with HIN here.

Dang the VIP culture is huge out there.  I know there are more and more cats doing it out here in Cali, but nothing as big as you guys.  Must be nice to live half way to where all the good stuff is...

Nicve pics, thanks for sharing!

There have been some here into this VIP thing since 2001 - pretty amazing.  Now that it took so long to pick up as a trend, I almost don't like that its so popular...hehehehe

although much closer to Japan, shipping still need to go all the way to Cali then back to Hawaii!  crazyness I tell ya....

Yeah it WAS cool right?  Thats why you gotta strive to be different...  Do something crazy to your car, boso style...  How about some flared fenders and maybe 6 pipe exhuast reaching for the sky?  Hey its still VIP, hahahah

Really?  Why is that?  Don't have a big dock or something for the size of those cargo containers maybe?

for real!!!vip cars ruled this show but i think what happen that alot of people thought this show wasn't going to happen this summer. It was not till mid july til they even advertice this show uasully they annouce it in may. And iam not sure that its the same people that ran it since street showoff ran the the show in the past years. I remember when this show was packed but it didn't have as much rydes this year as the previous years. But i just think alot of the different type of cars wasn't ready since the announcement of this show was late. A lot of the people i know was building there cars for the HIN. For some reason a lot of the vip cars was ready and showed strong. HIN should be diffrent in dec and alot more cars.

Items coming to Hawaii by boat are first shipped to California first - stocked up in Cali and when a load is big enough then the ship comes here.  We have large enough ports.  Hawaii just does not import enough things from Japan to Hawaii to warrant a specific Japan to Hawaii route.   I know sounds crazy but it cheaper in the long run...just not time efficient.
