Yeah.. people have definitely been giving it several glances. It's not that it's SO radically different than the regular IS, but it definitely has a few items that stand out. I think people are more surprised when i blow by them

Yeah.. im not sure why the seat was so far back in that picture.. definitely not my normal seating position. The passenger's seat is more indicative of the legroom available when the seat is properly adjusted (for me). I havent had anyone over 6'0 in the car yet (front seat or back) so im not sure how comfortable they'll be. Front seat room seems fine, the back is kinda scary.

I'm not 100% sure on the i-key lingo but it's just like the M, G, etc.. you dont actually have an ignition slot, or doorlock holes (cant think of proper word right now) .. you just have to have the key fob on you to open doors, trunk, etc - and to start the car.

The key covers come with all Lexuses, AFAIK. They are leather, and the little loop at the top is to answer the issue of valets not having a way to hang the fob on their boards. I remember some grousing about that on the Infiniti forums, since there's no loop left when you remove the valet key from the fob.
But the main thing is protecting the fob while it's banging around in your pocket with change and other keys ... my M's fob was beaten all up in no time from that, especially with the fakey little chrome plating on the plastic logo coming off.

I actually have keys on my keychain with no known lock to put them in. At the same time, i'm afraid to take them off because i'm sure i'll encounter the door at that point.

Oh yeah, kind of back on topic:
I do actually miss the infiniti i-key concept vs lexus key. That little 'dock' in the infinitis for the key seemed useless at first, but it would be a Godsend in the IS-F seeing as there is pretty much literally nowhere to toss your keys.

I have a magnetic proximity badge... i wave it near doors and they open for me. As for my office, the keys are in a desk... I don't care if coworkers use the office, so I leave the keys where they can find them. Someone is there 24/7, so its not like its very unsecure.
As for the dock.... i've never used it... i keep my i-key in my pocket

Yeah, isn't the Infiniti dock just for emergency use or something? Like if the battery in your fob dies?
Like Brandon, my fob stays in my pocket, where God intended it to stay. I'm totally dumbfounded by those cars with fobs you must place in a hole, then push a separate starter button. What the hell is the point in that?
The only key I carry on my fob nowadays is my house key. I used to also have a key to the office when I was a working stiff, but I got over that. Got no other keys to deal with besides home!

I think I have some disorder where i'm addicted to clutter.. and keychains. I actually had two more things on there I took off. One was the old Infiniti logo, and the other was the new lexus keychain hook-thingy the dealer gave me. I'm also not sure why I keep the other metal/leather thing attached either. It has a lexus logo on the other side, but I don't really care about it in particular.. I think i'm just flat out crazy.
