Oh I forgot to mention the numbers.  $1,000 off for loyalty discount.  FULL (WTF?!?!) MSRP.  $2,000 down.  $1,330 a month.  Residual was flat out 60%.  24 month 12,000 miles a year.  In my opinion these numbers suck.

Yep, that's a lot of money.  You won't see too many FX50S on the road with those numbers.

I've heard from 2-4k in infiniti loyalty bonus.... i'd definitely investigate that if you were seriously looking to buy right now.

That's what they emailed  me at Niello Infiniti in Concord: 4K retail/2k lease for current FX owner's only...oh, c'mon.  Hope it's not difficult to get this one at least.

Color me confused. They are saying you have to currently own or lease an infiniti FX to be eligible, then they say a current infiniti fx is not required. How can that be?

I think they meant to say (in a very wordly way) that you can keep your old FX.  You have to prove you currently own one to get the rebate, but it's not required to give it away in a trade.  I hope that's it.   Grin

I thought so from the "trade in or.. " part, but the "current infiniti fx is not required" threw me.

When I spoke to the dealer a month ago they were asking me if I had previously owned an FX, and were trying to work a deal that way. Needless to say, nothing happened with that and they tried to convince me how VIP the FX50 is and they can't discount it.

They meant trade-in (another car) provided you currently own an FX?

I'm getting dizzy now...

You should buy your car the end of the year, that's when the best deals for the current year are made, no?  be patient, man!   Cheesy

I mean if you want a deal below the MSRP, you should wait until the end of the year.

I was kidding.. Smiley I know what you mean. The dealer as much said so. He said he'd call me back in september because he thinks they'll be trying to dump them by then. He said there are way too many leftover 08's right now.

At the same time, I have partally learned a lesson (who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks?) I'll never buy an early release car again. 2006 picked up in january/march (i dont recall) of 2005. Never again unless i'm just hemmorrhaging money.

I didn't like the new exterior styling in the initial pics, but when I saw it in person I'm loving it. Especially the black grill.
