I couldn't disagree more.  I still think it looks like a prototype.  The wheels on the extremes (very low overhangs for its size, it's like a 3 series at the front AND in the BACK!), I love it.  The roofline is to die for, and it's unchanged for 2009.   The trunk is bigger than most hatches, and it's bigger than the X5, so it's useful enough.  The steering feel is better (more weighted) than the M35 I used to drive, feels sportier at any speed.

I like the most is its stance: it looks planted in a way that the X5 or the X6 or the ML will never be: it's like the BMW wears high heels.  It closer in its poise to the 350z than Porsche Cayenne to the Cayman/911.

If it was not for Obamanomics, I would consider changing up for the Fx50, no doubt.  But the perspective of paying higher taxes in the near future means I won't have as much money in the bank as I wish in the end.  It's a very expensive car still.

Why would there be?  Barely been out a year and I don't think its the kind of vehicle many people would have buyers remorse on and try to get out of ASAP.
