I was able to take a liesurely cruise in one at my dealership and that thing is badass!!!  Unfortunately I was only a passenger...

Heh, still driving.  I'll get em up soon I promise but I never have the damn camera around when I go to the garage.  For now I'll just say, it's a very good car.  Very similar to a Gallardo but it's as if the "italian" has been tuned out of it and replaced with "german".  (I know that sounds ridiculous but believe it or not it's a very accurate way of describing it)  I think I'm really starting to love AWD.  Really wonderful feeling that you actually notice. 
LOTS of looks I'm getting in this thing.  I personally still am not enamored with the looks but in person it's better than the pix.  I'll try to take it for a spin on Sunday maybe after the car show.

Awd is addicting...  especially when its setup like the R8 where most of the power goes where it should but when you need it its there to keep you in line.

Sorry, I didn't get to drive it today.  Was stuck at the auto show literally all day.  I was so depressed by it that I had a drink after bringing the kids home.  Hell, they didn't even bring the California (Ferrari) up because the L.A. auto show had the only one.  I did take the 599 around the block though (good lord that's the best car on the road today by the way! at least, it's my favorite car I've ever driven).  The show was terrible.  Nobody there, nothing intersting.  About the most interesting thing I saw was the LCD spedometer on the Benz S class; the new Scuderia; the Aston DBS; and the bluetec and other diesels (BMW's was nice).  I'm going to go back there for 5 hours at least tommorow to get a better feel for Toyota and Lexus's line. 
P.S. I don't do this just for kicks.  It gives me insight on the industry and then I make investment moves based on it.
