Autoblog.nl Tests The Carlsson CK63 S (Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG)

Quote

As you may remember, back in October we brought you word of Carlsson's foray into the field of Mercedes C63 AMG tuning, with a model they called the CK63 S.  Its figures were impressive – 565 hp/415 kW and 685 Nm of torque, 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds, and a top speed of 186 mph.  But with any tuning program of this nature, one must beg the question:  "Is it really necessary to add extra power to the already supremely capable Mercedes C63 AMG?"

To find out, Autoblog.nl spent some time with Carlson CK63 S, analyzing both its performance and all around value relative to a standard C63 AMG.  Thankfully, they documented superbly the process, offering both a written review and HD video covering their time with the model.

While I wont' give too much away, I will say that their overall opinion of the Carlsson CK63 S seemed to be a positive one. To see Autoblog.nl's thoughts on the CK63, check out both their written review and video review.

Nope.. at least not to me. It looks like there is no physical connection between the chrome exhaust tip and the muffler itself. You have to view the larger version of the pictures, but you can see it.

Doesn't matter, they're ugly.

These are much better.

Most cars I've seen are like this.  My Altima was the same way.   Grin

yeah i mean as long as they are connected (ie no plausible space between the actual exhaust pipe and the tip like the IS-F) then this is just a typical exhaust setup with a polished aluminum tip

Does anyone know what they did to the engine?  I thought all the AMG cars were in the 3s these days...?  Maybe I'm wrong, but it just looks like some different wheels and body kit..?
