Messin with the F430
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:54:52 PM »

So I was bored and decided to mess with my F430.  Normally I don't touch these but I really don't like the bulbs on this car at all.  I actually learned something quite interesting.  The F430 is a very easy car to change things.  I guess it's because it's not chock full of stuff like a luxury car and in many ways is still a basic sort of car.  To change the bulbs I literally just reached into an access panel and popped off another panel and changed em.  Took about 2 minutes per side.  I went with 6k and have a nice bluewhite color now.  The only thing I would really like at this point is a very powerful H6W bulb for the light strip that runs in the headlight.  I ordered a few LED ones from this outfit in Britain.  I'll let you all know (with pics) how it turns out.

Now that you're back in the saddle, you just need to have this done to your headlamps. Smiley

Ooooooh.  I like that blueish one.  What site is that from?  I'll order it right away.  Oh and no pix yet because the new bulbs arent here yet.  I ordered from www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk so I imagine it will take time to come from the U.K.  (been a week already though, grrrr)

from www.clearcorners.com; he'll need your existing lamps or a new set, though, in order to accomplish it. I'd love to do it on my -F but WAYYYYYY outside of my budget. Sad

Yeah, here.  http://clearcorners.com/products/ferrari/430/

As Oz mentioned, you either need a spare set or to send yours in.  I had him do a complete conversion of my G35.  The white is the parking lights and the amber is the turn signal.  Money, but I loved it. Smiley

Given enough time and money, anything is possible.  His final version of the G35 tails (which I still have to receive then resell) are beyond ridiculous.  But in a good way.

HD will tell you the mods and more importantly the prices are far from subtle
