I still think you'd drive something like a Kia Sorrento if it was fast enough in a straight line and was chock full of gadgets, as long as it had a premium badge. Smiley

I know you think i'm a brand whore but I ain't. Smiley If Hyundai/Kia built something comparable to the M, IS-F, etc, then it would definitely be on my list. I'd gladly drive a NISSAN GT-R Smiley

If you remember, this is the closest he got.

Okay, I drove by the Hyundai dealer to see this thing today. I was intending on getting out and taking a gander and maybe even a test drive. In reality, the following happened:

I pulled into the parking lot. I saw three lined up. I stayed in my car. I turned around and quickly left.

was it because the car was ugly?  or because you were afraid someone would get a picture of an IS-F in a hyundai lot? Tongue

I honestly thought it was hideous. The grille looks worse in person. It looks like the front of an old locomotive, to me. I guess the ones they had for show were 'base' .. they had HORRIBLE wheel packages that look like $100 hubcap version of audi A8 rims.

The salesman saw me from inside and started to wander out (i hadnt gotten out of the car); i felt kind of bad for just driving away.. Cheesy

It was like walking into the wrong bar. You just leave.

I saw one in the city the other day blacked out with some nice 20s and I did a double take thinking it was an M/Q...  The grill does stand out a bit but with some decent wheels and a painted grill I think its a sharp looking car from the outside.  The inside I'm not totally sold on, nor have I sat in one but I can't even count how many touches they stole from Infiniti/Nissan.  All the way down to the buttons on the key even looking alike.  I'd test drive one...

I still see more MB / Lexus when I see a Genesis rather than Infiniti, at least from the exterior.

I'm more curious about its handling character. Did it try to copy Lexus or BMW or Infiniti or Merc?
