Sorry, haven't had anything to contribute lately. I got a new car though and thought I'd post. Anyone care to take a guess??? It arrives next week. Pretty psyched and this finally put me in a certain category that I'm definitely excited to be in. (More on that when it gets here)

but I'd be psyched for you if it was a 599B or 599XX or whatever the 599 was I was reading about in my automobile magazine last weekend. That was a beautiful car.

Nah, I looked at a 599 GTB Fiorano but it was starting to get dated and was due for a replacement soon and I like my ole 550 Maranello although I don't drive it at all. Starts with a "Four"

Yes yes. It actually has rivets and not glue and came from the factory like that. It was a situation where the glue on the heat shield melted and gooped onto the manifold in high ambient temperature places like. . . dubai for example. In any event, they replaced it with rivets and the factory is replacing any cars that were damaged. On a 300k car, that's quite a move.

Well, the nice thing is, the car is essentially free. I get it until Feb and then they take it back and sell it for probably 30k over sticker and give me a new one. Six months later, same thing. Six months after that, same thing except now I get a spyder. I'm probably good for the next few years until I decide to bail and then I get all my money back. Nice little deal. Here's the exact car:

Uh, heh, well I have bought quite a few cars from Ferrari so I'm on the top of their lists. Besides, it's not like Ferrari isn't making uber bucks off of it. They get to sell me my car at sticker (make margin) then they sell mine and get the over sticker gain (30k-70k) then they sell me a new one at sticker (margin) then they sell the new one when I bring it back ($30-50k) and sell me yet another one at sticker (margin). Essentially they get to sell the same car two or three times and make money each time. I'm just a middle man. . . that gets to enjoy a new Ferrari every six months
Of course when the musical chairs stop and the cars stop going over sticker, I get hosed. Fortunately, I keep close tabs on the market for these things so I will bail and get full money back before that happens.

Car is here! They doing a check on it to make sure mechanically everything is tip top. I'll take it home on Friday.
Check it out, no stalks! Headlights, turn signals, wipers, etc are all on the steering wheel
